Is this play about us? And by “play” I mean the new smash hit hockey romance series “Off Campus” based on the wildly popular Elle Kennedy books, and by “us” I mean my alma mater, University of British Columbia. Set at the fictional Briar University in Massachusetts, Off Campus was filmed entirely in Vancouver, British Columbia which is not surprising for “Hollywood North”, so let’s explore some of the locations.
Hockey romance adaptations are having a moment, from Heated Rivalry to Off Campus, and it should be noted that both book series were written by Canadian women authors, filmed in Canada, and feature Canadian leads (Hudson Williams in HR and Stephen Kalyn in Off Campus) - with both series starting production on their second seasons this summer. So I am sure that production managers are working over time right now, from Vancouver to Toronto.

Given the romantic drama series follows an elite university ice hockey team around Boston, so finding a university campus with significant sports centers was key, and UBC is not stranger to filming. So look for the following on the Vancouver campus:
Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre (contains three ice surfaces, including the 5,000-seat main arena featured in the series)
Adams Hall in the series is the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre, with the iconic Ladner Clock Tower.
The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts stands in for the Kaufman Center, where Hannah attends her music lessons.
The hockey boys fraternity house is a residential property in Vancouver’s upscale West Point Grey neighborhood (Built in 1915, this craftsman-style wood-frame residence is currently home to UBC’a Sigma Phi Delta)
Malone's Diner and Bar exterior was filmed at The Heatley located in Vancouver’s Strathcona area
Dean’s (Stephen Kalyn) fancy “NYC apartment” scenes with and Allie (Mika Abdalla) were filmed in the Den Suite at The Douglas Hotel (Marriott) in downtown Vancouver
I suspect we will see similar locations for the second season, set to move on from the ‘Garrett and Hannah’ romance to ‘Logan and Grace’ and more of ‘Dean and Allie’.
